David,

Home Depot (a nationwide Hardware Superstore in the USA) stocks 8"
aluminum dryer duct - it works great!!. It turns out that this material
is available in sizes up to at least 18 inch diameter: 8", 9", 10" 12",
14" 16" and 18". However, the largest I've seen at retail hardware
outfits is the 8" size. Heating and Ventilation outfits may carry larger
sizes...

McMaster-Carr Supply Company (Chicago, IL) carries the other sizes
above, but they tend to be more expensive that the retail outfits,
especially when you tack on shipping. McMaster Carr's catalog prices for
"Flex-Lock" duct hose are:
        Cost Each/ Cost Each/
        Broken Carton: Full Carton: Qty/Carton:
   9" $14.88 $11.56 7
  10" $16.23 $16.23 4
  12" $17.11 $13.39 3
  14" $18.34 $14.75 2
  16" ---- $16.47 1
  18" ---- $17.25 1

Home Depot does carry 8" material for about $10 for an eight foot length
(32" compressed). Two of these wrapped around a pair of heavy-duty 14"
pizza pans makes for one MEAN 32" toroid for about $35.

Safe Coilin' to ya!
