Hi-power Components



TC'ers might be interested in the high-power RF components
built for the Marconi transatlantic radio stations in Nova
Scotia in the early 1900's. For those with Web access, pic-

Of particular interest are the air-blast rotary spark gap,
referred to as a "discharger", and the huge parallel-plate,
air-dielectric condenser which occupies an entire building.
In concept and design these components are similar to those
used for the construction of TC's and discussed on this list
but of generally larger scale.
