	I'd like to suggest a simple solution to "the
explosion problem".  When making the end caps drill and
thread a hole for, say, a 1/4-20 nylon screw.  Go ahead
and use the solvent-based adhesives and, after all is
"dry", blow the interior out until no odor is perceptable.
Then insert the nylong screw with either an o ring seal
or simply apply adhesive (epoxy, for example) to the screw
threads and screw in the screw.  I have used this method for
sealing some oil tanks recently, and have no leaks after
a couple of months.
