Should be 30kV/inch, not 40.

Primary k's are particularly interesting. The 25uH primary has an 
inside diameter of 5.5" and outer diameter of 14" (cf resonator 
diameter of 16.8"). The resonator was sitting atop a piece of 
plexiglass directly on top of this coil. The 28 - 29uH primary was 
this coil + the outer turn of a second spiral sitting an inch below 
it. Worth noting that a decent k can be achieved with a very compact 
primary system. This bodes well for bottling the system up as a 
single unit.
