Re: TC of Tungsten resistance It is indeed positive - Bert is correct! The reason ordinary incandescent bulbs normally burn out at turn on is because of the extra current drawn by the cold filament. (Not sure that current bulbs necessarily still use Tungsten, but think they do. Certainly whatever the filament is made of burns in air just like Tungsten does. Ed Phillips
