additional bearings - easiest is to use automotive generator/alternator 
bearings - get them at the junk yard with a burned out alternator.  the case 
will make a nice mounting, it will have a pulley attached, and you can  come 
up with all sorts of ways of extending the shaft.  another convenient source 
is a burned out small AC or DC motor with a shaft extending from both sides - 
like runs a squirrel cage fan.  Burned out motors are pretty cheap, if not 
free

    Thank you for your reply and information. That leaves me with more
problems though. Where to get additional pulleys, bearings and shafting!
And how to mount the rotor on the shaft.
