Hi Kevin, what I've usually done is to take a two inch long piece of your 
1/4 inch copper tubing and hammer it out flat then file a radius on each 
end to decrease coronal leakage and then drill 1/8 inch holes near the two 
ends of the now flattened tubing. This is now wrapped around you primary 
tubing and secured to the hook up wire with a bolt through the two 1/8 inch 
holes and secure with a gripping washer and a nut.
