DR. R,

I sent some data on a larger system in another post, but I like Richard 
Hull's suggestion of using a radar pulser circuit to drive the system.  
Regular tube magnifiers seem incapable of outperforming a regular tube
coil, so any project of this type would seem useful only from a novelty
point of view.  It is of course possible that my designs were sub-optimal
and that better performance can be coaxed from such a TC.
