We tested various types of enameled magnet wire for dielectric breakdown
at
RF frequencies. We ran out tests at 500 KHZ at 0-15 KV and used a scope
to
check for losses (corona formation). Best results were with Beldon
Polythermalize -- a 200 degree C. wire. It is extremely durable and we
use
it in all our small coil systems (400 KV or less). It is available on
special order on 10 or 25 lb. spools.
