BREAKDOWN VOLTAGE VS DISTANCE VS FREQUENCY

Hi All,
In the 1998 Twenty third international pulsed power conference
(IEEE# 98CH36133), pages 221 to 224, there is an article titled "High
frequency breakdown characteristics of various electrode geometries in
air", by W. G. Dunbar, D. L. Schweickart, J. C. Horwath, and L. C.
Walko. Here is a synopsis of the relevant data:

all at atmospheric pressure

frequency	voltage electrode spacing electrode
kHz % of dc value	cm configuration

370 54% 3 point/plane
370 30% 25 point/plane
0.06-110	100% 0.45 spheres/plates
0.06-995	100% 0.09 spheres/plates
500 40 kV 25 points
500 90 kV 25 plates

several references are given.
