  Malcolm -

 The following equations can be used to find the secondary voltage (Vs) of a
Tesla coil. With most Tesla coils these equations will give different
answers for the same coil. I think the best way to estimate Vs is to use the
spark length and compare it to test results from high voltage labs. The
JHCTES computer program does this and appears to work. When somebody comes
up with a similar program it will be possible to make comparisons to check
for accuracy.

  Vs = Vp sqrt(Cp/Cs)     Vs = Vp sqrt(Ls/Lp)    
   Vs = sqrt(2J/Cs)             Vs - Ls di/dt
