That should have read "not dangerously so"- I really must proof-read my

Um, that G was for "Gomez", my real-life and net-nickname, not "Greg".
Sorry if I misled.

The noise, even through hearing protectors, was painfully loud.  The
shockwave
could be felt as a physical blow to the chest (comparable to a soft pat
with the
flat of someone's hand) from ten feet away.

The fellow I just acquired my "banger" from told me the same thing about
this
machine, only he said the blow felt like a punch in the chest from
twenty feet
away!  (yikes)
