No -- big difference.  Enameled magnet wire has an insulation coating. 
Galvanized wire has a conductive coating of zinc plating which makes it
resistant to rust.  Most galvanized wire is steel core and enameled magnet
wire is copper core.  For Tesla use the best type of enameled wire is the
200 degree centigrade or heavy formvar type magnet wire.  It has thicker
insulation and is very tough.
