Hi clay	
	I am not a theorist so I can't say. But if you want to find out what
effect different spacings have on the resonant fc try "tesla coil cad "
from richard chapman. This program lets you vary the spacing between turns.
You can find it in the archives on dave b's page. hope this helps.
