Twas the night of bowling;

Bart is in good spirits, ready to knock'em dead tonight
at bowling. Why is Bart in such good spirits? Earlier
this Saturday, Bart was near completion of his long
awaited TC build. The caps and RSG were all mounted in
the rolling chassis and today Bart made the final
connections. Bart asked himself "how close am I?". To
get a better idea, Bart shut the upper doors to the
cabinet then picked up the resonator (complete with
primary, secondary, and toroid) and set it on the
cabinet. He connects the primary to the RSG/CAP
terminals. He then rolls the complete unit near the
garage door and runs the hv lines 20 feet to the pole
pig. Bart looks at the setup and knows "only a ground
connection away". Bart new today wasn't the day to fire
it up. Haste makes waist and Bart wanted to go through a
complete check off of all components and settings before
the switch is thrown. But Bart was very pleased with the
setup.

Well, it's bowling night and Bart showers up. The kids
are spending the night over their friends houses and
it's Bart and his honey against the world tonight. What
a feeling. Even though Bart hasn't bowled in three
years, he felt like he could take on the world and come
out on top.

Bart and his honey start for the car. But wait, Bart
forgot the directions and runs back up the stairs to get
them. On his way back about half way down the stairs
Bart here's "CRASH - BANG" and a gasp from his honey.
Bart stops dead in his tracks. Could it have been... Oh
no. Bart heads the rest of the way down the stairs and
turns the corner into the garage. Oh no. Bart's worst
fears came true. The garage door was opened and hit the
toroid sending the entire coil eight feet to the ground.
The toroid had flown off and was in the middle of the
garage. The secondary and primary were nose end down on
the ground with the bottom of the secondary clinging by
a thread on the cabinet top. Bart's honey, stood with
arms clutched to her chest and eye's closed in fear of
seeing the look on Bart's face knowing how special this
TC was to Bart. Bart stands and stares. All of sudden
Bart is amazed. Could it be.. ok? Bart walks to the
downed coil and inspects the whole ordeal, then lifts
the coil back to it's proper position on the cabinet and
inspects further. Bart couldn't believe it. The way the
coil had fallen, the secondary and primary windings
hadn't hit anything. There was no damage on any part of
the coil. Bart new he had built this coil well but had
no idea it would withstand such a crash. The toroid was
picked up and set back on the secondary. All is ok. Bart
finally said to his wife, "it's ok honey" and smiled.

As Bart and his honey headed off to bowling, Bart
thought to himself, "the coil passed the ol ball and
chain test. It must be time for sparks!".
