My NST question!



Sam,

Thanks for the advice.  I posted that question ealier, and got very
little repsonse to it.  I have done some research since, and I now have
a better understanding of how neon sign transformers actually work.  The
high voltage or "striking voltage" as it's sometimes called, is only
needed to ionize the gas.  It then has more conductivity and gives a
path to allow the current to flow.  Then, as you said, a much lower
voltage is needed. 
     By the way, this is directly related to the project I'm working on!
