multipliers as capacitors

My setup consits of three high voltage low power supplies (40 kv total).
For this kind of a setup I like to use high voltage multipliers from
computer monitors as capacitors. These consist of high voltage
capacitors lined in a series. Does anyone use a similiar setup or have
any comments on this? I haven't heard of too many people doing this. But
I do caution against this setup with high output power supplies. These
multipliers can not take the amps that larger capacitors can.
