Gavin, Any HV diode that is 14 cm long will be more than adequate for rectifying NST output. X-ray machines are almost always greater than 30KV and the recifiers normally handle anywhere from 50 ma to several hundred ma. Use the rectifiers, and don't worry about the exact ratings.
