I have no idea about the temperature, but I would not recommend doing 
this procedure in an indoor oven that you indend to use for food.  The 
smell and smoke will be horrible, and this is best done outdoors on a 
windy day using a campstove or burner.  Keep a fire extinguisher handy.  
I cooked my tranny over an adjustable hotplate for about an hour, in an 
EZ-foil cooking pan.

When the stuff is liquid, pour it all out.  Clean the transformer in 
kerosene.  Repot the transformer in mineral oil, vasoline, paraffin, or a 
combination of these (for desired consistancy).
