Interesting concept, but you should think through all the design
specifications before building a form. 

Some of the parameters to consider are:

effect on coupling constant between primary and secondary

overall induction of the secondary (how are you going to calculate it?)

will self induction and self capacitance issues arise from the design?

Not to disuade you, but there is a lot going on that might be
critical to your design.
