I don't know, I have used white for both of my coils...

Should screws be used to construct the base? I know that

I used screws in my base...

Ok, I ran into this same problem, I had 3 flybacks but couldn't figure out
how to hook them up. What I finnally did was get an old monitor, and take
the picture tube and plastic housing out and leave the board with the
flyback intact. This way all I had to do was plug it in like normal, and
run the output from the flyback to a ground.

 Where is a good

That is kinda high, I get mine from a local shop that rewinds motors, they
don't normally sell it, so you will have to go when the boss is there. Be
polite and he may give you a pound or so, The first time I went the guy
gave me 2 lbs for free, and only asked that I show him the coil when it was
completed, now he sells it to me for $4.00 a lb.
