Grounding with many conductors, 6" ball

I just recently came across a large supply of 200, 24awg conductor cable
it is really big and exciting). I was wondering if I solder all 200
together if it would make a good grounding cable, or not. I am just trying
to come up with uses for it. Also, I just tried using a 6" Styrofoam craft
ball covered with aluminum foil as a top load. It didn't work nearly as
well as the tin can, or metal ball that I used before. Do I just need
better tuning, or is that just a bad choice? Thank you,
