I like the rest of the story though. You still get an A -.    

As far as the odor sticking to clothing, that will happen with NOx gases, 
which may also be produced.   The smell of NOx gases  are pungent and 
somewhat similar to the smell of a school locker room -also similar to 
chlorine smell.
