Robin, all,

most likely no advantage would be seen, because these effects
(spacewound or not spacewound) make very little difference in
a typical TC.  As long as the Q of the secondary is reasonable,
it's OK.  Most of the losses in a TC are in the sparkgap.  Changes
in the secondary losses have extremely minimal effect as long as
the secondary is reasonable.  However if the changes made
to the secondary indirectly reduce the gap losses, that can be
rather beneficial, and is the method I use in my TT-42 TC.  See
