party cup cap trial

hello all,
i just thought i would give a quick update on the party cup cap.
i hooked it up to a 12/30 nst based coil, 3" by 22" secondary, 3" by 18"
topload.
this gave me 18" streamers but the primary coil was to small to get a
good tune, (on the last turn). i ran the coil for 2 minutes straight and
fired it three times in a row.
i tried to fill the caps with the wax poly potting mix to make it a dry
cap, i got the bright idea to put it in the oven so that it would stay
liquid until the air was out of it.
very bad idea, i ended up with a pinkish, smelly, blob that took the
better part of a day to clean. my girlfriend still swears that her
baking tastes like plastic, i like the added flavor! mmm
i think these cups, placed into a 4" pvc pipe, not covering the bottom
of the cup and putting a hole in the bottom for air escape, could be a
great inexpensive cap for the niche between sw caps and mmc or
commercial.
i will be putting these on hold for a while as i am starting my rsg and
i suspect it will take some time to complete.
thank you, marc
