Hi Jon,

Just so you know, "standard ac motors" as you call them fall under 2 catogories
as far as rotational speed is concerned. The 1750 rpm (or similar) and the 3450
rpm (or similar). The 1750 rpm gets 4 flats for synchronus 1800 rpm rotational
speed and the 3450 rpm gets 2 flats for 3600 rpm rotational speed. In both
cases, it is a multiple of the 60Hz line frequency. I assume your motor was of
the 3450 rpm type prior to converting. Just wanted to throw this out there just
in case you modified a 1750 rpm motor with only 2 flats. If so, it's not right.
