Hi Kelly,

It is really very simple. Every metal object is a capacitor with at least
air as the dielectric and the earth as the second conductor. As with a
normal capacitor, the greater the surface and the thinner the distance
between the metal object and the earth the bigger the capacitance and the
lower the apparent resistance for the TC LFRF pulses and therefore the
larger the sparks.
