if you want to go a bit cheaper, I have bags of panasonic ECQ-E caps, which
are 0.22 microfarads at 1250VDC - I get $20 plus shipping (say $25) for a
bag of 100 capacitors - i believe these are a polyester dielectric - check
them out - if your transformer is a normal NST, I am under the impression
they will be OK - for your 12 KV transformer, I'd put 15 or 20 in series, so
you could make 5 to 7 strings
