question, tesla wiring

Hi, I've gotten together some parts for my first tesla coil. I have a 1000V, 
250ma DC power supply and a 50kv 2uf cap and im working on getting a NST. Im 
not sure how to wire the cap and probably the nst too. My cap has 2 small 
terminals at one end and a large terminal at the other. The 2 small 
terminals were said to be a voltage tripler. One small terminal has "AC" 
etched by it and the other has an "E". The big terminal has an "H" by it. 
The cap has a metal casing. How do I route and connect the 2 wires starting 
from my DC power supply if i have a nst and cap with a voltage tripler and i 
want to start testing out spark gap configurations?
Also what safety measures should i put in that circuit so i dont fry any of 
the components?
