Re: My thanksgiving thanks go to

    shad and all,
i too have to give thanks to the list and all the great minds, big and
small, that combine here to make this hobby work. i have learned more in
the short time i've been privileged to be a member, then in the year
prior!
but i have to give an extra thanks also to terry for the nst protection
circuit, when i saw the first one in real vision at the ne ohio
teslathon, i asked DR. mark how much power was wasted in the resistors?
i thought to myself, "why would anyone want to burn power that could be
used for streamers?"
well, after blowing two nst's in a row, i decided to build one, the
smartest decision i have made in a long time. yes the discharge is
noticeably shorter with, then without, but the savings in transformers
more then makes up for it!!! now i have built four more since then to
put on coil systems that i assembled for others and would not even think
about running an nst without it. why i never blew a transformer before,
i chock up to luck to any and all beginners planing on nst power, i say
build it before first light.
now i give thanks to all the members for putting up with my nonsensical
posts and to all that take time out of there busy day to answer my
questions.
i wish every one on the list, the best of luck to you and yours and may
all your wish lists find a way to get filled.
happy holidays from the metlicka household
