You can get a good deal on a 14,400V/5KVA or 14,400V/10KVA pole pig at T-at-R
Electric in SD (www.t-r-dot-com). Their pole pigs are fully reconditioned with
all copper windings---none of that aluminum crap. If you live close to South
Dakota, there is your best deal.
You also will get papers to prove that your transformer is free of
PCB'S---good to have on hand if the EPA drops by for a little visit.
Talk to Chris at T-at-R, who has set aside pole pigs just for Tesla
coilers---very friendly. The price has been going up $50 per year.
Last year $250 for a 14,400/5Kva---this year $300 for the same.
