Some coilers have asked how they can change the primary turns (output) in
the JHCTES Ver 3.3 program when the secondary is already designed. This can
be done in several ways depending on what you want to do. For example the
primary turns can be changed by changing the primary capacitor which is in
the inputs.

Turns Cpri K Factor Mutual Ind.

   9.98 0.02 0.195 243 Default
   1.00 2.00 0.195 24
   5.00 0.0795 0.195 122
  50.00 0.0008 0.195 1216

You can obtain any number of primary turns in this manner even though the
turns are in the outputs. However, the primary capacitor input is limited to
.0001 and 50.0 uf. The reason the primary turns are set up this way is
because the computer inputs and outputs are coordinated so the primary and
secondary circuits are always in tune. No more out of tune TC systems. Note
that the mutual inductance changes but the K Factor does not. Why?

The primary turns can also be changed by changing the secondary terminal
input and other secondary parameters. Much can be learned about TC design by
varying the inputs and noting the changes in the other TC parameters. A
challenging game for the coiler is to try and guess the answers before
checking the computer outputs.
