Hello, Roy

I'm unfamiliar with various availabilities of parts would be for someone
in NZ (I'm in the US), but, think I can still help.
My site, http://www.electrophile.8m-dot-com has been told to me by others to
have been of help to them. I think the one section on the actual
connections wiithin the circuit, and why various components are used will
be of exceptional use to you.\

One meter is a large goal for a first coil... ...I'm about at that
length currently, with this coil being perhaps the largest of 7 or so
coils. I do have a pair of pole pigs waiting to be used, but, that is a
distant possibility for the future.

You're looking at at least 1kW input power, possibly more or less
depending on the performance of your system. Probably on the order of
2kW. Parts can be found nearly anywhere, in the form of anything. Use
your creativity to find novel uses for items designed for other purposes.

My page is part of the Tesla Coiling Webring. Read as many of the sites
on it as you can. Little bit by little bit, you'll begin to understand
and comprehend the jargon used frequently to describe out systems, which
is a problem I ran into when I was first getting into coiling.

Please feel free to email me with any specific or general questions you
may have.
