Geek #1,  Seems to me that I saw a past post about someone wanting to use
a pipe flange as a mounting device for their coil and knowledgeable list
members replied that you should cut a slot into one side of the
flange,(or in your case the metal endcap of the fuse).  Seems it had
something to do with the solid metal cap acting as a shorted turn on the
secondary, so you may want to use some caution with this. I have never
tried it myself, but others seem to suggest that it would be detrimental
to the operation of the secondary coil.   Al.
