List Members,

It is with a heavy heart that I relay to you the news that long time Tesla
advocate and historian, Nick Basura, age 74, passed away last weekend. In
addition to devoting his life advocating Tesla and working to correct the
misrepresentations in textbooks and literature, Nick was also my uncle. Nick's
lifelong goal was to see that Tesla held his rightful place in history.

Some of Nicks accomplishments include being a key player in the successful
campaign to commemorate Tesla on a U.S. postage stamp. Nick also spearheaded a
15-year effort to name a Colorado School after Tesla. In addition to activism,
Nick provided research and contact information as well as general background
information to hundreds of historians, librarians, writers, and filmmakers.
Some of the most notable were Margaret Cheney and Steven Spielberg.

Many of you have had the opportunity to interact with Nick over the years and
others may have heard or seen his name mentioned in publications such as
"Tesla: Man Out of Time". Nick will be missed by many.

All services will be held at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California, USA.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 26th, from 5:00pm to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday, January 27th, at 12:00 noon.

Best Regards,
Brian Basura
