Re: Simulating coils

Yes, after I said all that I went to your page, and downloaded the microsim
model of your 15/60 coil. After dissecting that, I basically duplicated it,
keeping changes to a minimum. After that worked I started changing things
and experimenting with values, probes etc. After I got familiarized with the
program, I started to enjoy modeling! It turns out that microsim is much
better than SwitcherCad III for a broader range of sims, although it is MUCH
more picky about small errors in the circuit. My main problem now is knowing
what values to plug in for inductances and whatnot for things like my MOTs,
because I have no way to measure them. Looks like I need to start a
collection of measurment equipment (anyone know where I can get an
oscilloscope for cheap, like <100$? Doesn't really matter what it is, as
long as it works!).
