Ted and Terry,

If you look at the diagram for the NST filter, the ties to the NST ground are 
clearly labeled.
So that's how I have my bank of NSTs hooked up to the filter and the AC green 
ground.
Ted, I agree, there are numerous posting all supporting the 
need to keep the RF away from the primary power lines and that's what I tried 
to say in my original response. But there is a point of confusion
because my copy of the NST filter clearly labels the ground lead as NST 
ground AND
RF ground. Both are tied together. With the bipolar coil I do not use an RF 
ground so the problem remained moot, but the NST filter schematic shows the 
60 cyc and RF grounds tied together. IMHO that is not right.
