 Hello coilers,

Someone had asked how noisy a coil/gap usually is. My present
setup which runs around a kilowatt input power is very noisy!!
I have to shout to make myself heard when it's running, and I
sometimes wear ear defenders on long runs.

Both of my coils make lots of noise, requiring ear plugs when running in a
confined space. The majority of the noise comes from the discharges off the
toroids, not the spark gap.
