Ummm, you ARE discharging this thing with a peice of metal across both
terminals, or hooking it into a resistor or something, right???

I have a reasonably big resistor for my caps (6Kv, 2.0 mu-F, parallell) and
then I just stick a big chunk O' copper stock across the tops of each one,
disconnect them(from each other, they should already be out or at least
switched from the rest of the circuit), wire the two terminals together on
each to prevent recharge through static, etc., and I'm off.

For a quick and easy method, I've heard that you can just put a piece of
metal stock on one end of a longish insulated pole, and tap the
terminals(at the same time) with it, then hold it there. Havent tried that
one myself, though.

Remember, no matter how long you wait, there is a GREAT possibility that it
is holding at least partial charge...

If you wait and touch it and are still here, buy me a lotto ticket, I'm
poor....
