Aspirated Gap

Hi All! 
        Does anyone have first-hand experience with an aspirated static gap. 
This type uses two opposing hollow electrodes on a two-horned manifold, with 
hot air and ozone, etc., being sucked in through the gap and vented outside 
the building. I made one of 1/2" copper and plastic and was wondering if 
there's anyone to compare notes with.
