HI Jonathan,

You want to add them in "parallel" not "series".

For caps in parallel:

Ctotal = c1 + c2 + c3...

For caps in series:

Ctotal = 1 / (1 / c1 + 1 / c2 + 1 / c3...)

In your series case:

1 / ( 1 / 0.025 + 1 / 0.0018 ) = 0.00168

put them in parallel:

0.025 + 0.0018 = 0.0268
