I have to be honest and mention that I haven't actually got my coil to
work before I go on. So far I have spent $8.00 on my coil. I think I have
most of the components. I know I need more copper tubing, which is what is
holding me up. If I was using the coil to make money, or for business
reasons, I would prabobly spend more money on it. But, since it is a hobby I
can't justify spending to much more on it, (my own personal views on
hobbys). I really have know idea how much the average coiler spends on one
complete TC from beginning to finish. I am curious though.
I got my wire for the secondary from a 110V induction motor (26ga). Had
a few splices, (5 I think). I had to spend my time on it so the splice
connections were good. My 15k/30mA NST was given to my by a almost local
sign shop, already had some 4" PVC, I'm still working on the the toroid
design.
