Hello Ben,

Yes it's a flyback, I think they run then high frequency ac, approx 10 to
30Khz, and on the comercial units there'll be lots of current limiting.

BTW.     I found a pot on the one that I have and of course I tweaked
it........ more power, brighter streamers   :-)
