I got a "small" 1800 rpm motor from a chart recorder
that my college had thrown away. It sat in my attic
for nearly 20 years waiting for a purpose. It can
barely spin up a 5" x 1/4" G-10 disc. It can be seen
at:

about halfway down the page.
