Using a Tree as an RF Ground?

Whats the feasibility of using a tree as an RF Ground.  Figure the roots go
deep in the ground, spread out pretty good.  The internal part of the tree
would be conductive.  Just get a metal copper band around the base of the
tree, and hammer 6 inch copper nails around the outside of this band . . . 


Hmmm . . . .   ;)
