Solenoidal primary BELOW secondary?

Notwithstanding the fact that problems asssociated with the regular solenoidal
primary have persuaded most experimenters to adopt inverted-cone or flat
pancake primaries -ie the plane of the primary relative to the secondary has
been moved from 0 to 90 degrees- what would be the effect of taking this to its
logical conclusion and mounting the primary BELOW the base of the secondary,
that is 180 degrees apart?
