We started with a 'Wave Form Monitor'.
This is different from, tho may include, a Vectorscope.

We STARTED with a 'Wave Form Monitor'.
This is a Particular piece of gear, for video work.
         The _words_
                 wave
                 form
                 monitor
Can, indeed refer to any general duty scope.
As used for a Particular Piece of Equipment, within
a particular (video) business, they refer to a
_specific_ set of gear, with trick sync capabilities,
         need not be real fast.

(Those outside the specific industry can be readily
         confused by the name....)

cf the cited part number and google search thereon.
