RE: Need Formula for length of spiral

Hello John,

Length of wire needed is number of turns x average diameter x PI. Seems
that an easier way of winding a flat coil would be with rectangular magnet
wire if such is available.

Cheers,

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a formula that I can use to calculate the length of wire
required in a flat spiral coil? I have the formula for inductance, however,
I really need the wire length.

Thanks,
