Oh!!!  I wonder if the magnetic shunts are saturating?  They would almost
have to be.  I bet it is putting out a whole lot more than 60mA.  I would
guess about 150mA!!  That's cool if it does not blow up.

I have wondered if a stable and safe coil could be made with a NST far into
saturation.  It looks like you have done it :-))  This is a very
significant thing!!!
