If you connected the inner turn of one coil to the outer turn of the other,
increased the self capacitance greatly. How much, I don't know, but I seem
remember that a bifilar would helical coil has about four time the self
capacitance as a single wire coil of the same dimension.
I think i recall reading, coil capacitance increases geometrically with size.
A twelve inch coil would be several times the capacitance of a six inch coil.
i (dimly) remember that a 24 inch coil was discussed in Martain's book
detailing some of Tesla's patents.
